who the heck is this guy
Eshaan Sood is a guitarist, composer, and storyteller from New Delhi, India, whose music is shaped by a sense of wonder and an insatiable curiosity about the world. Drawing from personal experiences, fictional tales, and the stories of those he encounters, Eshaan translates emotions into melodies, imagining what it would sound like if music could speak for every moment. His performances aim to take audiences on a journey, connecting hearts and making the world a happier place, one concert at a time.
Eshaan’s music is often described as possessing a childlike curiosity, seamlessly blended with moments of deep reflection. His improvisations draw from jazz, folk, and contemporary classical traditions, weaving these influences together to create unique songforms that capture both spontaneity and structure. Beginning his musical journey on the tabla at the age of eight, Eshaan explored instruments like the piano, drums, and bass before finding his vehicle for expression in the guitar. This eclectic background shapes his compositions, resulting in performances that are both adventurous and introspective, generous, and captivating.
Over the years, Eshaan has performed across India, Bangladesh, Singapore, and the United States, at venues such as Kilbourn Hall in Rochester, The Pianoman in New Delhi, and The Music Matters Festival in Singapore. Whether leading his projects, The Sonic Alchemists and Eshaan & Priyana, or collaborating with artists worldwide, he brings an infectious energy and emotional depth to the stage. Eshaan has honed his craft at the Srishti School of Art, the Global Music Institute, and the Eastman School of Music, where his love for stories and sound found its voice.
When not playing music, Eshaan can be found curled up with a fantasy novel, brewing his latest coffee obsession, or hunting for the perfect hat. His favourite colour is purple, and he never turns down a good slice of pizza.
